Owner/operator-

Christina Shockley, FNP, PMHNP

Welcome to ND Health Solutions!

I have been a nurse for over 20 years and have worked in many different capacities. At the start of my advanced practice nursing career in family medicine it was revealed to me the true need for mental health practitioners in our area. I continued to further my education to become proficient in this capacity.

I work alongside other providers as well as focusing on patient-centered care to give the support, direction, and care of each individual as well as their families with medication management. Safety, education, and evidence-based knowledge is a passion of mine and is incorporated in the care given.

I am licensed in both North Dakota and Montana as a board-certified APRN (advanced practice registered nurse). I treat a variety of mental health ailments such as (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar, addiction, and ADHD to children starting from ages 6 up to older adult.

During our time together, for initial evaluations, it is important to gather as much information regarding the reason for your current visit as well as a thorough medical, social, and psychiatric history. Many follow-up appointments will be scheduled every 4 weeks until we are not adjusting medications or dosages. Once we find the right medication regime and you feel comfortable we may schedule appointments out further. Remember every person is different and individualized care is a goal so follow up appointments will vary amongst people.

Ryanne has been a proud member of the Dickinson community for almost three years. With a passion for helping others and creating a warm, supportive environment, Ryanne looks forward to greeting clients and ensuring their experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible.

As someone who values connection and community, Ryanne is eager to be a positive presence, offering kindness and assistance to everyone who walks through the door. Whether scheduling appointments, answering questions, or simply sharing a friendly smile, she is dedicated to making every client feel seen and supported.

In her free time Ryanne enjoys being outdoors. She enjoys riding her horse, fishing, and attending concerts.

Mental Health Services- Therapy

Teresa Steele, LMSW

Raised on the edge of rural North Dakota, I am beyond excited to be able to bring mental health services to my hometown of Beach, ND. I have looked forward to this day and point of my career! I am excited to bring high quality mental health therapy to our rural community and start bridging the gap of limited services to our area. My education and skill set allow me to work through a variety of life challenges with clients ages 5 and up.

Most recently, I have acquired training and certification in sand tray therapy form the international association of sand tray therapy. This approach to therapy is fun and interactive while allowing clients of all ages (sand tray is not just for kids) to explore trauma in a "safer" and less threatening way. In addition, I hold training in a variety of different therapeutic approaches to help clients with various life challenges.

I am a licensed social worker providing therapy to individuals seeking support with anxiety, stress, life transitions, and feeling emotionally overwhelmed- ages 5 and up.

I’ve lived in North Dakota for the past 10 years. Outside of my work, my husband and I enjoy traveling on our Harley, spending time with our four kids, and being at home with our dogs. These experiences keep me grounded and shape how I value connection, balance, and authenticity.

My approach to therapy is calm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I believe therapy should feel safe, honest, and supportive, a place where you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. Together, we work at a pace that feels manageable, focusing on insight, growth, and meaningful change.

Pharmacological Services

Psychopharmacology-

Psychopharmacology is the study and use of medications to manage mental health conditions. Our providers work closely with clients to determine if medication may be a helpful part of their treatment plan. An individualized approach, considering each person’s unique symptoms, history, and needs to find the most effective and well-tolerated options. Addressing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or other mental health concerns, we offer ongoing medication management to ensure the best outcomes while prioritizing safety and well-being.

ADHD Testing-

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can impact focus, organization, impulse control, and daily functioning. Our comprehensive ADHD testing process includes clinical interviews, standardized assessments, and behavioral observations to provide an accurate diagnosis. Testing is available for children, adolescents, and adults. A clear diagnosis allows for the development of personalized treatment plans, which may include therapy, medication, or lifestyle adjustments to improve focus and daily success.

Genetic Testing for Mental and Physical Health-

Genetic testing is a cutting-edge tool that helps personalize mental health treatment. Testing with Genesight or Genomind shows how an individual’s genes may influence their response to certain psychiatric medications; we offer both Gensight and Genomind.

We also offer genetic testing for hormones, gut health, and neurotransmitters. These tests inform us which vitamins and minerals we are missing that are responsible for our symptoms, they show how healthy or unhealthy our hormones and genes levels are as well as our gut health.

While genetic testing does not replace clinical expertise, it can serve as a helpful guide in finding the most suitable means of treatment for the best out come for your journey to both mental and physical health.

Therapy Services

Individual Therapy-

Individual therapy is a one-on-one process between a client and a therapist, focusing on personal concerns, emotions, and goals. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or personal growth, therapy provides a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings. Your therapist will work with you to develop coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and improve your overall well-being.

Family Therapy-

Family therapy involves multiple family members working together to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. This type of therapy is helpful for families experiencing transitions, stress, or conflicts that affect their dynamics. The goal is to create a supportive and understanding environment where each member feels heard and valued while working toward healthier interactions.

Sand Tray Therapy-

This type of therapy is used particularly for clients who have experienced trauma. This is a highly therapeutic form of therapy that can provide emotional release and realization for adults and can help children achieve feelings of comfort and security.

Genetic Testing

Neurotransmitter Testing

Neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, GABA, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, when not at appropriate levels, may be responsible for cognition problems, mood disorders, motivation issues, sleep difficulties, cravings, addictions, and pains.

When we are deficient on specific vitamins and minerals (cofactors) it decreases our enzyme function and neurotransmitter levels.

Food/Environmental Allergy Testing

Symptoms such as eczema, abdominal pain, tachycardia or a drop in blood pressure could be caused by unknown allergens in our body. When our bodies are exposed to allergens it creates a lot of IgE antibodies which bind to and activate specialized white blood cells such as mast cells and basophils leading to an increase of histamine and inflammatory chemicals.

Hormone Testing

Hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone are responsible for mood swings, fatigue, weight gain, and hair loss.

Gut Health Testing

Gastrointestinal (GI) imbalances are responsible for local and systemic issues. Testing shows us key markers on how our digestion, absorption, and intestinal function that give symptoms such as inflammation, constipation, diarrhea, mood disorders, and weight concerns.

Mycotoxins (toxic metabolites) produced by mold as well as nutritional and metabolic imbalances can be associated with certain types of cancers, kidney and liver damage, infertility, schizophrenia, anxiety, fibromyalgia, and headaches.

Frequently Ask Questions

Medication refills:

Please request medication refills through your pharmacy or patient portal. Allow up to 3 business days for refill requests to be filled, we ask that you plan accordingly.

What to expect:

Initial therapy sessions will take 1 hour with 30-60 minute follow up appointments, depending on your treatment plan.

Initial medication management sessions may take up to 1.5 hours with 20-30 minute follow ups.

ADHD testing may take two separate appointments or one 2-hour appointment.

**All intake questionnaires are highly recommended to be completed prior to appointment to utilize time wisely.

What if I can't make my appointment?

We prefer you contact us as soon as you can if you can't make your scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment a 24 hour notice is required. If you miss an appointment without canceling a no-show fee of $50 will be billed, if the notice is less than 24 hours a late-cancellation feel of $25 will be billed- insurance does not cover either of these.

Cost of Therapy/Fees

The cost of therapy and medication management vary based on the type of services and the length of the appointment.
